Outfit: Stripes and Florals

Disclaimer: Yes, my legs are unusually pale. Yes, I do live in Florida. Appreciate if you'll work with me here a little. :)

Stripes and florals you say? While this gal is making a conscious effort to mix more patterns, this is one of my first real, out-of-the-house attempts at doing so. I showed you last week my super casual at-home look; here's what I can wear for a day out. While I'd go for a more conservative look for the law firm I represent (pr/marketing, etc), this look works for most others. And, knowing me and my love for cardigans, a bright-colored one definitely would not be far behind!

I absolutely adore the way stripes and florals go together. Not sure for yourself? Put two possible items you think have potential next to each other in your closet, or hanging in a place you'll see. Try lace, a good middle ground, if you're not sure. Let the look sink in, and I promise in a day or two you'll be obsessing over when you can wear it!

As for the rest of the look, I'm trying to embrace boots while I can even though it has regularly hit 80 degrees here in Florida the last two weeks. A few more days, and I'm going to look kinda ridonk in these things! Oh, and the side pony: be honest. Do I look crazy?! Because I kinda really dig it. I've seen some celebs work it, so why the heck shouldn't I, right? Right.
