Fab Find: Fashion Playtes



In the process of making my custom tank.

After reading about this site in Redbook, we had to check it out for ourselves! Even though my daughter is not even a year old, the site still immediately piqued my interest! Fashionplaytes.com lets girls 5 to 12 custom design their own tanks, shirts, dresses, capris, hoodies and more.

If anything, it makes me yearn for my childhood (or wish I was super teeny tiny!) just so I can wear one of my own rhinestone-covered, peace sign-decked custom designs.

My personalized label!

At Fashion Playtes, you can even add a personalized label featuring the name of the little gal's clothing "line." Freaking awesome, right? Prices start at $12; I designed a shirt for less than $30, which included the totally-worth-it five bucks for the custom label (see left). I venture to guess that you'd be loved for centuries with a cool gift like this, or better yet, hit up the web site WITH your favorite someone and design it together. Totally creative.

The only hard part is waiting the three or so weeks until your shipment arrives. Happy designing!
