The Average Girl's Guide: Fall Fashion: White after Labor Day

Not only does Labor Day conjure up thoughts of BBQs, pool time and mini getaways, it also officially marks the Fall season fashion-wise. And, the age-old question remains: Can we wear white pants after Labor Day? And, the answer...

YES! (but...)

You can definitely wear white pants and jeans after Labor Day, however it's critical you pair it with appropriate pieces and that the material is of heavier weight... avoid linens and super flowy fabrics, esp. if you live in Northern climates. To get the look just right, my favorite -- and a total classic -- is the black and white combo. Check out a pic of me with my hot friend R (she's on the left) decked out in this look. We both showed up to a February cocktail reception donning the same style! Classic.

Other ideas for Fall:
How about a chunky knit sweater? A plaid shirt? A lacy cami with a cute cardigan or vest? The looks are endless are as long as you keep the color palette darker on your top half and with your accessories. No pastels and other light shades, please; that's too summery.
