Outfit: NYE Date Night

New Year's Eve is not really my thing. I love it in the sense that typically friends want to get together so it's an opportunity to spend time with peeps I care about. However, it's often a crowded, drunken mess and now that I have a daughter, she's not going to sleep later just because I want to live it up (sad, but true). In fact, she's often up earlier! That girl is smart. This year, my faboo mom was visiting and offered to babysit. Yes, please. Instead of a big night out with friends the hubs and I took this as an opportunity to have a date night. They're too few and far in between. We saw a movie (The Fighter: two thumbs up) and then had a late dinner at a popular local Italian restaurant (Vic & Angelos, for you locals).  So... what do you wear for a super casual movie and dinner at a more chic locale?

Here's what I did: I stuck to skinnies with a sparkly top, cozied up by a casual cardigan. Since it was New Year's, I made sure to do it up with lots of arm candy and my new favorite slouchy grey boots.

While I wore this for New Year's, think this is a perfect date night outfit for any gal (hint, hint!). Adding just a few bangles (mix and match! it all works) or fun shoes instead of your typical flats totally changes the look without much effort. Hope you like what I put together!
