Savvy Shopping: Cash for your Cards

Best. Website. Ever. ... if you have giftcards you don't want! Or, want some at discounted rates!

If you have giftcards taking up space in your wallet and time and time again you walk into that store and can't find anything you want, well here's the site for you: Card Pool.

For example, I've been holding on to about $75 to Pottery Barn for way too long. You're thinking, how can you have a hard time spending that? Well, I'm really on the hunt for furniture and it's an in-between amount; not enough for anything substantial and don't need more furnishings. Well, Card Pool will pay me about $60 for it. Pretty good! And, a little more if I want an Amazon gift certificate instead.

Plus, you can also buy gift cards at a discounted price, up to 30 percent off! While most average about 10 percent off, it's still a very smart purchase for the shops you frequent, like Macy's, H&M, J. Crew, iTunes, Home Depot and many more. Stack this discount with other coupons, like the famous 20% off from Bed, Bath & Beyond, and if you buy online, go through Ebates to make your purchase and you could be getting back up to 15% more from your purchase. Savvy shopping, indeed!

There's other sites like Plastic Jungle that do this too but I love that Card Pool has right there a way to find out the cost of your card, if you don't know it off hand. I can never remember.

Get rid of what you don't, and start getting what you do!
